About

…the Blog

Modelling unstructerd text to develop an ontology can be a complex task for a PhD-Student. It begins with unsuspicious optical character recognition, evolves to some shell scripting and ends up in freaking graph algorithms with neo4j implemented in a python flask framework. It is easy to get tangled inside the semantic web, splitted up during reification or worn down by disambiguation. This blog is a logbook of my path through the digital humanities. It gives information about tools, methods and data modelling to build an Ontology of Occupations.
